Performing Arts Center

Proudly standing on the Baldwin Park Adult and Community Education campus, the air conditioned Performing Arts Center houses a 406 seat auditorium with proscenium arch stage. Combined, these facilities have full length theatrical production capability, conference room and large marbled tiled lobby. It hosts a full service staff, providing technical support for theatrical lighting and sound enhancement. House staff, custodial and ticket office services, including an in-house ticketing system, completes the package.

Cosmetology

The Cosmetology Department offers services to the public as well as faculty, staff, and students of Baldwin Park. These services are offered at such a reduced rate because they are part of the education of BPACE cosmetology students. All work is done by STUDENTS, under the supervision of an instructor.

If our prices are still too expensive, the Cosmetology Department periodically holds Complimentary Hair Cut Days.

Maine Street Cafe

The Maine Street Café casual restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner/snacks from 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Monday through Friday please see window hours below). The friendly café offers made-to-order salads, daily specials soups made from scratch, sandwiches and freshly-baked pastries.

Stop by and enjoy a daily special starting around $5.00, have breakfast, dinner, grab a snack from our $1.00 menu, or simply sip a cup of coffee and enjoy free WiFi.

The Facility...

Located at the ACT Center, is a state of the art theater facility that provides diverse cultural experiences for students and families in the community. It is used for district events such as graduations, cultural events, school rallies and performances as well as professional and community theatrical events. The Cosmetology Program offers services for hair styling and manicuring. Special pricing is available for senior customers.

Our Maine Street Café serves or prepares breakfast, lunch, and dinner offering dining programs to fit any budget. Buffet service or sit-down style for 10 to 120 guests can be arranged in the attractive marble tiled lobby at the Performing Arts Center, facing the magnificent 36 foot curved glass wall. An extensive menu is available to help provide complete and economical service.

Our food service department offers gourmet catering designed to meet your needs, from a simple continental breakfast to a full course sit down dinner or buffet reception.

The program gives students the opportunity to experience all of the tasks involved in the day to day operation of a restaurant, from prepping food and cooking meals to waiting tables and washing dishes.
